Behind the stories
Greg O'Neill
Grimdark Sci-fi dystopian
About
Greg O’Neill is a grimdark science fiction author with a passion for building expansive, high-tech worlds filled with morally complex characters. Relentless action set in a sprawling futuristic universe.
At the heart of his work lies a core caution: the terrifying thought of what happens when central governments are allowed to be unchecked. In The world we live in today, governments of this world have set left against right. They have silenced people with laws, calling it hate speech or anything normal they do not like. He has watched as this world and society get worse to where people just can’t take it anymore. In history, there seems to be a pendulum where it must come back the other way, and if allowed, what is in his writing may come true, in the form of his dystopian universe.
Greg’s writing doesn’t hold back on the gritty, dark world he has created 200 years in the future. Through tactical firefights and pragmatic anti-heroes like Callos, Greg dives deep into the tension between absolute control and personal survival. When Greg is not crafting Science fiction, he likes to write poetry. His work can be found at allpoetry.com/Greg_.o_nz
He enjoys playing bass and has played in bands before. Fishing is a great pastime, and he is a capable artist, with some on deviantart.com/gregonz
Greg is a Christian and holds strong morals. His writing is not preaching, and this is not a Christian book. In fact, the wording, the darkness, and harsh language in his stories reflect the raw reality of the world he builds. You can’t paint a dark world any other way. This may be our future if we let our governments rule against their own people.
